the change will do you good i always knew it would
I am bored with the purple, and I am too lazy and don't have enough time to create buttons or logos or pithy little things like that, so I can only come up with changing the colors, here. Feel free to throw darts at it.
And if anyone wants to do a redesign, contact me. We'll discuss it.
Edited to add:
OK, after lunch I came back and wow, that was bright. So I toned down the garishness a bit.
Edited again to add:
Good fucking FSM, you PC users have got to get better monitors. It's soooo much paler green on my iBook. I've toned it down even further.

That's a lot of green...I'm not sure yet if it offends my sensiblities. I'll let you know ;-P
I like it. Lime green is my power color.
*blink* *blink blink*
Wow...I thought something was wrong with my monitor for a second.
It's mighty green...but that might be a good thing.
I'm awake.. really.. I'm awake! I think I like it..
I'm glad I didn't see it before I toned it down, and that I know how to touch type. hee hee
The color is better now. I have 2 websites, both with a green/purple theme.
But I'm offended that you took the name of the FSM in vain.
Looks good on my iBook. Easy to read and wakes my ass up good.
I liked the garish green best ... and I'm a PC user.
Grassy-Lime green...it's cool.
It's now a lovely, pale lime green on my iMac. It looks great with the purple header.
Still bright, but not as much, on my husband's crappy $100 PC monitor. Ah, for my laptop where I control the color temp.
I like it.
It's the same colo(u)r as my bedroom walls.
Yes.
That explains a lot, no?
I'll have you know that this PC user has a fabulous monitor. You Mac users and your funky gamma settings.
I'm currently seeing a pale, almost milky lime/jade ("generic" jade color as opposed to say the almost white jade used by a certain Chinese culture c. 3300-2250 BCE) type green with warm undertones leaning toward yellow a hair more than it leans toward blue.
Yes, I just came home from class.
I liked the second green best!
